Mulabandha

Hi David,
You talk alot about focusing ones practice more on Mulabhanda(other than Postures) since Bandhas are sometimes very elusive, Could you maybe explain a bit about how you visualize mula, uddiyana bandhas and what sort of physical sensations you experience, not as result of, but more during your asana practice. It is always educational to hear someone else , especially someone experienced, talk about Bandhas. I have read "moolabandha, the master key" but it dosent really deal with bandhas in the same way as Ashtanga. ie. with Vinyasa. Your insights would be very insightful.

Om Shanti
Erik

Dear Erik,
It seems like you are complicating something that should be simplified.  I just do the chinlock and rootlock and don't particularly visualize it or have physical sensations.
After 10 years you will feel like you are starting to "get a grip".  After 20 years, you will realize that it is the most important part of your practice.  After 30 years, the whole "asana trip" fades into the background as one gets more and more into the mulabandha, breathe, and super consciousness of the invisible practices.
Good luck; the tortoise wins the race.
Yours in Yoga,
David
