« on: July 20, 2004, 01:08:45 AM »
Hi David,

Many yogis i've met have different ideas about diet
I was wondering what yours was ie vegetarian ?
coffee, alochol etc ?
Also do you workout outside of yoga ?

Regards

Dear Surfer,

What I eat may not be the best diet for someone else.  Having said that, I will answer your question.  I do not eat meat or chicken.  I eat fish and eggs.  I eat twice a day, not 3 times.  I drink one cup of coffee each morning when I get up.  I never drank coffee until I went to India.  Every Yoga teacher I was with in India served me coffee and got me started.  I very seldom drink alcohol and then, only beer or wine.  I swim 1/2 mile to a mile almost daily, usually in the ocean.

Aloha,
David

Dear Surfer,
I take a multivitamin each day.  Hopefully, that is sufficient.
I had such a good time teaching in Byron Bay and Cairns in March that I am planning to return in January.  This time, I will teach at the Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Melbourne and the Yogmat in Sydney.
Maybe, I'll see you there.
Aloha,
David
