practice in the 70's
« on: October 06, 2008, 06:44:38 PM »
Dear David,
I have heard from two early students of SKPJ's that early on, he had you practicing twice daily, moving quickly into second series and doing pranayama as well.  I would very much like to know more about how the practice was taught and the daily routine you first did.  Also, I heard that there was a list of texts associated with each series or year of practice and that students would move into the advanced series after a year or so of twice daily practice plus pranayama, sort of a four year program of study and practice.  I loved being able to see your wheel of postures as your were taught them in the 70's and I would be indebted and most interested to know more about this, the list of texts and the way you were moved into and through the series early on. If you would be willing to share your insights I would be grateful,
Yours in the practice of yoga,
Robert
